Our story

The idea of Earthbaby was born from the insight that the skin is the largest organ in our body, that it is porous and absorbs much of what we apply on it directly into the bloodstream – many of which can negatively impact our health. Our bodies have evolved alongside nature for millions of years, while synthetic chemicals have only been around for a few decades. Choosing nature just makes sense!

Earthbaby began as a deeply personal journey for us, Divya and Jiten Grover. During a transformative conscious living course in Auroville, we realized the importance of living in harmony with nature and the potential harm synthetic chemicals can have on our bodies. The tipping point came when we bought a so-called ‘natural’ sunscreen for our child, only to find it was full of synthetic ingredients.
Jiten’s struggle with eczema had also been shaping our approach in ways we didn’t even realize at first. It strengthened our resolve to create safe, nature-inspired skincare solutions. We truly believe that nature has everything we need for skincare, and with some creativity, we can harness its power.

"Nature Inside" means products crafted with pure, safe and gentle ingredients to honor the natural harmony of the skin, using what Nature has to offer, with minimal processing.

Natural products can also occasionally cause allergies. We have hence got all our formulated products tested by Dermatologists to verify they are hypoallergenic. Yet, better to be careful. We encourage you to do a patch test on your elbow and for your child before using any new product.

At Earthbaby, we prioritize pure, safe skincare, which is why we never use artificial fragrances. Most skincare products use low-grade preservatives with unpleasant odors, masked by synthetic, overpowering fragrances. Instead, we use food-grade preservatives that are gentle, effective, and maintain the natural scent of our formulations.

Artificial fragrances often contain chemicals that can disrupt hormones, worsen sensitivities, and harm delicate skin. By avoiding these harmful additives, we ensure your well-being while letting the natural aroma of our ingredients shine, staying true to our commitment to safe, nature-inspired skincare.

We test on humans! We know our ingredients and hence confidently test our new products first on ourselves and then our family and friends. All our products are vegan except for Milk & sandal soap, Lipsticks which contain beeswax and Kumkumadi face oil which has goat's milk as one of its ingredients.

MADE SAFE is a rigorous certification program that ensures products are free from harmful chemicals that can have negative impacts on human health and the environment.
